Bar Harbor Historical Society’s 2025 Membership Match Campaign Met and Exceeded Goal
BAR HARBOR — The Bar Harbor Historical Society is pleased to announce that with our community’s help, we have met our 2025 Membership Matching Campaign goal.
Our initial goal was $10,000, but we far exceeded that with $31,069 in membership donations. Thanks to two very generous $5,000 matches from Kathy MacLeod and Dickie Cough, our campaign raised a grand total of $41,069 for the Historical Society.
The campaign started in October 2025 and finished at the end of 2025. Just in memberships, we were able to bring in three times our initial goal. These donations will be used to support the Historical Society’s new exhibits for the 2026 season that will highlight the 250th anniversary of the United States of America.
This tremendous success is thanks to the support of our members, volunteers, and donors. Thank you all for your support, and we can’t wait to see everyone at the 2026 Spring Opening Day in May!
