Brooks Fenno Reflects on Life After 80 in Talk on A Purposeful Life
SOUTHWEST HARBOR—Join us on Thursday, October 2, from 11:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. at the Southwest Harbor Public Library to hear from nonagenarian Brooks Fenno speaking about his book A Purposeful Life: Ages 80, 90, and Beyond. Fenno will convey the observations of an individual who has recently navigated the seas of the 80s and is encamped on the shores of the 90s. The program is in-person with registration recommended.
A Purposeful Life combines four essential life factors: physical, mental, social, and spiritual into a conceptual framework of meaningful accomplishments. The text is written from the perspective of a layman, not a clinician or doctor and features approximately 45 suggested activities that offer the reader an opportunity to live a purposeful life of continued exploration rather than withdraw from the world at large and simply rest on his/her memories.
During Brooks Fenno’s 40-year career as a sales/marketing professional, he developed and managed a specialty marketing consulting company, Salesmark, which served 250 clients worldwide from China to Germany. His target clients were small to medium-sized firms (manufacturing and service), seeking diversified growth.
