Come Audition for Frozen!
MOUNT DESERT ISLAND—Looking to have some magical fun this winter? Acadia Community Theater will be holding auditions in December for their spring musical, Disney’s Frozen! Based on the award-winning animated movie, this show tells the story of the two young princesses of Arrendelle, who grow up sheltered away in the castle. When the elder sister, Elsa, is crowned queen, she loses control of her secret magic, plummeting Arrendelle into a perpetual winter, and flees into the mountains. Princess Anna must find her sister and save Arrendelle with the help of a grumpy ice harvester, his reindeer best friend and a magical snowman. Full of magic, humor, and a stunning musical score, Frozen is a powerful tale of sisterhood, acceptance, and finding the real meaning of true love.
Auditions will be Wednesday, December 10 and Thursday, December 11 from 6-8 pm at the Northeast Harbor Library. There are roles for children, teens and adults; children must be 8 years old by April 2026 to audition. The show will be directed by Kate Young and Molly Dority, and produced by Matt Hochman with vocal direction by Mary de Konig.

We will rehearse beginning in January on Monday and Thursday evenings and Saturday mornings, usually at the high school; not all cast will be called to every rehearsal. Performances will be April 17 - 26 at the 1932 Criterion Theater in Bar Harbor.
