Feel the Sea — at Cadillac Family Practice.

BAR HARBOR—Artist Liz Cutler celebrates the experience of the ocean through stained glass mosaic, felted wool, and oil paintings. Inspired by her year-round ocean dipping, Liz explores the sensory contrasts of the sea — hard and soft, cold and warm, fluid and solid — using materials that mirror these natural tensions.

“Though I tend to avoid incongruity in life, I’ve learned there is a delicious tension — an inherent beauty and balance — in including both within my work,” says Cutler.

Liz invites patients and staff to experience the ocean’s textures and moods through her multi-sensory creations — before or after their appointment at Cadillac Family Practice in Bar Harbor during the next two months.

“There is an unexpectedness that is similar to the materials I work with, ” she adds, “showing in a medical office — a destination that might not seem pleasant — can unexpectedly become a better experience; because there is nothing like original art!”
