Poets Gather at Local Library for Biannual Poetry Celebration
NORTHEAST HARBOR—On Wednesday, October 22 at 5:30 p.m. the Northeast Harbor Library will host the Harvest Moon Poets Gathering, a night of camaraderie and poetry sharing.
The third in a series of seasonal poetry events created through a collaboration between Northeast Harbor Library and Southwest Harbor Public Library, the Harvest Moon Poets Gathering is free and open to all. Participants are invited to read their original work, beloved poems from their favorite authors, or simply enjoy the performance of their peers. This event is an opportunity to celebrate each other’s creativity, Gathering events are an open-mic format with time to sign up at the start.
Emceed by two MDI-based poets, the Poets Gathering also creates a forum for local writers to meet each other and discuss their work, inspirations and challenges.
