Winter Activities for Kids, Families, and Youth: Family Hygge and Youth Chess
SOUTHWEST HARBOR—Join us at the Southwest Harbor Public Library for two new ongoing activities for kids and families and youth.
Family Hygge Time: Kids and families are invited to join us for Hygge (pronounced “Hoo-ga”) at the Library, beginning Monday, November 3rd at 3:30pm and continuing the first Monday of the month through April. Hygge is the Danish concept of comfort and contentment, often found through life’s simple pleasures. Come get cozy during this one hour program and enjoy a hot cocoa bar, games, puzzles, and coloring. Drop-in, no registration required. https://tinyurl.com/3ab2uzpd.
Youth Chess Club: Kids of all ages and skill levels are welcome to come play chess every other Wednesday afternoon from 3:30 - 4:30 pm, beginning November 5th. Experienced players can jump right in and play, while those newer to the game can receive tips and guidance from fellow attendees and staff. No registration is required.
